Usually, Agbami scholarship application occurs simultaneously with of Chevron – its partner, of which you are demanded to apply for one of the two. Applying for both schemes means automatic disqualification. Agbami is always preferable to chevron, except if you are not an engineering or medical student, then it becomes expedient to apply for CHEVRON, However, this year 2018 was different.

2. SHELL/SPDC UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NIGERIANS
We have received unconfirmed information that h SHELL/SPDC have increased their bursary payment from NGN75,000 to NGN150,000 while we still wait to confirm the validity of the information. You should realize that Shell/SPDC undergraduate scholarship is one of the most reliable Nigerian undergraduates scholarships available. In 2014, $14.8 million was invested in scholarships by the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo). The University Scholarship Scheme, a programme run by SPDC on behalf of the NNPC/Shell/Elf/Agip Joint Venture, makes a quiet but very useful impact on the education of Nigerian students.

Nigerian Agip Oil Company scholarships for undergraduates in 100level students always commences between January and April. The scholarship is worth NGN100,000 annually. The Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC) Joint Venture in pursuance of its Corporate Social Responsibility invites suitably qualified applicants for its Tertiary Scholarship Scheme. There are two categories of awards in AGIP:
- Host Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from NAOC Host Communities
- National Merit Award – For applicants from Non-Host communities
Despite the fact that the Host communities merit award is less competitive, I strongly recommend not selecting that category unless you are very sure that the company – AGIP is still operating in your community.
A lot of bloggers out there are insisting that PTDF pays NGN 150,000, well from my personal discovery, the last payment was a NGN471,000 plus a brand new laptop of which many of my friends were awarded. PTDF always commences between Jnauary – March. Soon application for ptdf undergraduate scholarships will begin. The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholarship is for Nigerian students to study for an undergraduate degree in Nigerian tertiary institution. The award letter is somewhat unbelievable as a lot of grants are given.

6. CHEVRON UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR NIGERIANS
Chevron Undergraduate scholarships has a span of almost all fields making it more competitive than Agbami. When application commences, it is always advisable to apply for Agbami except if your course of study do not cut across engineering and medical sciences. Chevron works to meet the world’s growing demand for energy by exploring for oil and natural gas; refining and marketing gasoline; producing chemicals and more. Chevron undergraduate scholarships is for 200level students. The following are eligible to apply for Chevron undergraduate scholarship: Accountancy,Agricultural Engineering/Agricultural Science ,Architecture,Business Administration/Economics,Chemical Engineering ,Civil Engineering ,Computer Science/Computer Engineering/System Engineering,Electrical/Electronic Engineering ,Environmental Studies/Surveying,Geology/Geophysics ,Law ,Mass Communication/Journalism,Mechanical/Metallurgical & Materials Engineering,Human Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy ,Petroleum Engineering
Federal Scholarship Board (FSB). The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education through the Federal Scholarship Board offers Local scholarships tenable in recognized Nigerian tertiary institutions. The fsb undergrduate scholarship is for 200L,300L,400L… students.
The MTN Foundation Science & Technology Scholarship Scheme is for full time second year students studying in public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics and colleges of education) in Nigeria. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who may be unable to pay for their tertiary education and aims to recognize and reward academic excellence.
9. MUSTE Undergraduate Scholarships for Nigerians
The Mankind United To Support Total Education is a Scholarship arm of Youth Empowerment and ICT Foundation; it was registered with the corporate affairs commission in Abuja Nigeria on the 17th of November 2003. It is founded and funded by Mr. Jim Ovia in the year 1998, to provide financial aid to outstanding Nigeria youths.
The awardees are given funding for undergraduate study for the duration of the undergraduate program. The award includes tuition and maintaince allowance. The scheme offers an average of 100 opportunities every year. The Financial records show that as at October 2010, Mr. Ovia has invested N98, 220,000 in the program on one thousand, four hundred and thirty-nine beneficiaries.
In establishing MUSTE, Mr. Ovia hoped to create a network of future leaders within Nigeria who can compete globally with their peers, bring new ideas, creativity and are committed to improving the lives and circumstances of people in their respective communities. Overtime it is expected that MUSTE beneficiaries will become leaders in helping to address challenges related to health, technology, and finance, all areas in which the foundation is deeply engaged.

Each year the Nigeria LNG Limited opens application for Nigeria LNG Undergraduate Scholarship Award for first year Undergraduate students in Nigerian universities. The Nigeria LNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme started in 1998 as part of Nigeria LNG Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerian Citizens to enhance human capacity development.
Each year, Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (TEPNG) demonstrates a high level of commitment towards the educational development of Nigerian Students through its annual award of scholarships to deserving Nigerian students in secondary and tertiary institutions as well as those in postgraduate studies.
12. Addax Petroleum/NNPC Scholarship Programme (Not offered in 2015)
Addax Petroleum Development (Nig) Limited offers the National Tertiary Institutions Scholarship Awards Scheme for full time 100 level undergraduate students in any Nigeria Universities, Polytechnic or College of Education.

The Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited and Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc Joint Venture as part of its Corporate Social Investment Programme has commenced its inaugural Undergraduate Scholarship Awards. The scholarship awards is open to qualified and interested second year undergraduates of Nigerian Public Universities.
Nigerian scholarship for women only. The award is for 20 (twenty) students, each of whom will receive One hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) making a total sum of Two Million Naira (N2,000,000.00). The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (also known as “NWAG”) was established in 2000 by Mrs. Dayo Keshi, the then Consul General’s wife. NWAG are a Atlanta Georgia based non-profit organization whose goal it is to empower youth, women and children in their home country of Nigeria and their adopted community in the United States. NWAG will be awarding 37 single scholarships 1 scholarship for each state of origin and 1 scholarship for each Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
